Introduction
Original Food Co.’s various certificates allow it access to exclusive contract work with local,
regional, state, and national governments. Original Food Co.’s unique business status
allows our company to act as the bridge that connects manufacturers of agricultural/food
products and services to clients they previously did not have access to. We at Original Food
Co. currently provide the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) with soy proteins and
hybrid corn seed products to multiple locations across Texas. Original Foods hopes to offer
various agricultural products across Texas and the nation.
Rearing Facility
During the company’s initial years, Founder Jose Reyes attended conferences across the
globe to learn innovative skills and methods within the agricultural industry. One trip that
has served Mr. Reyes well was a visit to Israel in 2012 to see the methods used in the
Middle East in their rearing facilities to control invasive fruit fly species that threaten the
integrity of agricultural produce in Israel
Results
Mr. Reyes would use the information he acquired in Israel to provide proven products to his
clients. From 2022 to 2023, Original Food Co. Provided USDA Animal & Plant Health
Inspection Services (APHIS) with insecticides for their rearing facilities in South Texas to
control the Mexican Fruit Fly variety. The organic insecticides used by our clients in USDA
APHIS have proven only to target undesirable threats to crops while posing no harm to the
crops and consumers alike
